چکیده
Environmental factors, such as soil height, plant age, conditions, maintenance, and seeds influence the content of secondary metabolites in an organism. The growing conditions can also affect active compounds plants. Xanthone is compound Garcinia mangostana Linn. One its derivatives α-mangostin, which has antioxidant, anticancer, antituberculosis antihistamine effects. This study aimed to determine effects on levels α-mangosteen mangosteen leaf extract using Thin Layer Chromatography-Densitometry. Standard solution ethyl acetate leaves (A B samples) were analyzed with Camag TLC Scanner 3 silica gel 60 F254 stationary phase chloroform-ethyl mobile (9:1). results showed that Rf values for standard sample A, 0.65, 0.62, respectively. Meanwhile, obtained from samples A 2.10% ± 0.0755 2.07% 0.0321, Different did not level α-mangostin leaves.

α-Mangostin Extraction from the Native Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) and the Binding Mechanisms of α-Mangostin to HSA or TRF
In order to obtain the biological active compound, α-mangostin, from the traditional native mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.), an extraction method for industrial application was explored. A high yield of α-mangostin (5.2%) was obtained by extraction from dried mangosteen pericarps with subsequent purification on macroporous resin HPD-400. The chemical structure of α-mangostin was verified ma...

Garcinia mangostana L. (Mangosteen), of the family Clusiaceae, is one of the economically important tropical fruits in Indonesia. In the present study, we performed de novo transcriptomic analysis of Garcinia mangostana L. through RNA-Seq technology. We obtained the raw data from 12 libraries through Ion Proton System. Clean reads of 191,735,809 were obtained from 307,634,890 raw reads. The raw...

Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L.) is known for its delectable taste and contains high amount of xanthones which have been reported to possess anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and other bioactive properties. However, stage-specific regulation of mangosteen fruit ripening has never been studied in detail. We have performed a comparative transcriptomic analysis of three ripening stages (Stage 0, 2...

α-Mangostin is the major prenylated xanthone from Garcinia mangostana and it has been used also in recent times as starting material for the semisynthetic preparation of various biologically active derivatives. Its structure is characterised by the presence of few functional groups amenable to chemical manipulations, but present in the molecule in multiple instances (three phenolic hydroxyl gro...
